My style inspirations have been many world’s renowned fashion designers, fashion bloggers and my mom. My mom has always managed to look stylish and chic, no matter what. I remember I would ask my mom not to wear one of her dresses too much. It was one of my favorites in her wardrobe, and I wanted to be able to wear it when I grow up.
I started my personal fashion blog on my style and outfit ideas two years after I founded my own fashion website www.chicous.com. While being the founder and chief editor of chicous.com, I realized I want to have a diary of my personal style evolution. I wanted to be able to look at my previous posts and see how my outfits changed as the time went by.
How would I describe my personal style? It is a little bit of everything; I love classics, casual, romantic and, recently, eclectic. I like to wear something really girly and romantic one day, and then be somewhat tomboyish the next day. I like to wear something classy and lady-like, and then experimenting with the latest boldest fashion trends. What I wear depends on how I feel right now. And, as I say it on www.chicous.com , I believe fashion is one of the ways for us to express ourselves.
I have always been into fashion and style. When I was a teenager I liked to experiment with my style and combine different clothes from my brother’s and my mom’s wardrobes. At the same time, surprisingly, I was adhering to more fashion rules compare to how I dress now. Jacket with heeled sandals? Not a chance! If I wore jacket, it just had to be combined with heeled shoes, not heeled sandals. If I wore floral printed top, I would never combine it with something sporty – it is possible I thought fashion police was just waiting for me around the corner! 🙂 As I have become “style-mature” (or at least I want to believe that I have), I realized that fashion rules are for breaking, and I can have so much fun with clashing styles, colors and prints. www.jetaimefashion.com is the result of my style experimenting and my passion for writing and fashion blogging.
